Three Legged Race

"A favorite at community picnics and school carnivals, a three-legged race is a game of cooperation between partners as much as it is one of speed. It involves two participants attempting to complete a short sprint with the left leg of one runner strapped to the right leg of another runner. The object is for the partners to run together without falling over, and beat the other contestants to the finish line."

Samuel

What do I do?   My current role is a finance manager of an asset management company in Hong Kong.   Some of my current colleagues comment that I am more like a "diplomat" than an accountant.

What are my current priorities at work?  My company just closed the 2012 financial year.  I need to ensure to the audited financial report to be issued by March.  Co-currently, I need to finalize the company's 2013 financial budget (involving a lot of negotiations with both internal and external parties).

If I were not doing my current role, what will I do?  I think I will be working in some role(s) relating to IT.

What motivates me?  My wife and my 2-years old daughter.

What wakes me up in the morning?  A cup of (homemade) coffee.  No Starbucks, please.

What do I do when I take annual leave?  I will spend time with my daughter, like going to playgroup and going to playground.

My favourite activities on weekends.  Visiting and having brunch at Sai Kung.   

Do I do any sports?  Before my daughter arrives, I do cycling and swimming.

What's the destination of my last vacation?  Sabah, Malaysia.

What's my short term personal goal?  To complete the MSOCM program in 2014.



Miranda

What do I do recently? I am a part time worker.

What is my previous job and why I leave the job? I worked as a secretary in an Institute in Macau. I found my career path is very narrow and without any career advancement. Therefore, I quit my job and come to Hong Kong to study master degree.

What will I do after graduate? I hope I can work in casino as a middle level management officer.

What is my hobby? My hobby is travelling. I love to go to Taiwan. But I seldom go to Taipei. I love go to some township which does not have many tourists to climb high mountain or driving near to the seaside.

What is my short term goal? Same as my teammmate, I hope I can finish my degree in 2014 summer.

What do I do?  I am working as a supervisor in the Operation Department in a Trustee company.

What occupied me recently?  I have been busy with the year end project since this early January (and would probably last until late April with last year's experience)

What is my fuel of the day?  Coffee, like my teammate. But I need a BLACK one.

What do I do in spare time?  I enjoy reading and watching movie (by the way, Love Actually is my favorite movie so )

What is my short term goal?  To complete the Master degree in 2014 is great but I also hope that I can polish my leadership skill and get the essential competency to lead a team.
